Camping Rules

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Deseret Peak Complex assumes no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.  We ask that each of you help us to respect the rights of others.  Deseret Peak Complex reserves the right to relocate campers.  Overnight stays are not permitted without formal tent or self-contained RV equipment.  All campers must vacate the facility on Sunday before 6 p.m., unless other arrangements are made.  No refunds or exchanges on camping reservations or tickets.  If leaving the facility for the evening, our gates do lock, all overnight campers must be in before the scheduled closing time or you will be locked out of the facility for the night.  Our regular hours are Monday thru Friday 7 a.m. thru 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday – 7 a.m. thru 6 p.m. and closed on Holidays.  If you are camping during an equestrian event, all horse=s must be in a stall.  For stall reservations, contact (435) 843-4003 unless the event you are participating in is taking the reservations.

TENT CAMPSITES:

In tent camping area=s, only six people are allowed per site.  All tent sites are 20′ x 20′.  A 10 foot wide lane must be kept clean and free of debris for emergency access.  Sites must be kept clean and free from all debris.  Glass bottles and containers are not permitted.  Tent camping is only permitted in designated tent camping areas.  There are no vehicles or motorized units (unless a necessity for ADA purposes) allowed in the tent campsites, all unloading must be done curbside and vehicles must be moved immediately.  All vehicles left in the roadway will be towed at the owner’s expense.  There is ample parking in the parking lots across the road from tent campsites.  Please respect your assigned area as not to infringe on others.

GENERAL MOTOR HOME SPACES:

All general motor home/RV spaces are 25′ x 50′.  We have 12 electric only hook-ups, no water or waste dumps are available.  All units in RV areas must be self contained.  Dumping grey water onto the ground is prohibited.  There is a dump site located in Tooele at 900 South and Highway 36, Lake Point at the Flying J and Grantsville on East Clark Street by the rodeo grounds.   Primary and support vehicles must all be contained in the camp site.  No vehicles are allowed to park on the roadways.  ADoubling Up@ is not allowed.  Do not block thru ways, any person visiting you while at the RV Park must park their vehicle in the adjoining parking lot.  Please respect your assigned area as not to infringe on others.

RESERVED R.V./MOTOR HOME SPACES:

We have only 6 RV spaces with full hookups.  These sites are located near the soccer field.

QUIET TIME:

Please observe a quiet time between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. daily in the camping area.  Children must not be left unattended and all campers should try to remain at their campsites after dark.  Please remember, voices carry at night.  Use of profanity, loud music, obnoxious disturbances or nuisances will not be tolerated and violators will be asked to leave.  No radios after 10:00 p.m. in the campground.  LOUD music is not allowed.  No extensive or professional sound systems are allowed.  We reserve the right to deny campers use of them.  Sounds at your campsite should be heard only at your campsite during quiet time.

MOTOR VEHICLES / OFF ROAD VEHICLES:

All off road vehicles (any vehicle not licensed for highway use) are not allowed to be used at the Deseret Peak Complex, except at the Moto X Track on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

PETS:

Pets must be kept under the control of a leash or kept in your R.V. with adequate ventilation and water.  Violators of pet rules will pay a minimum fine of $50 for each infraction.

FIRES:

No open fires.  Fires must be built in a device designed for elevating a fire off of the ground such as a grill or patio fire pit.  Fires are permitted when weather conditions are normal (no high winds or dry conditions) and must be placed in a manner as not to endanger other people or property.  Gasoline should not be used to light fires!  DPC staff reserve the right to instruct campers to extinguish any fires they feel are too big or that threaten other campers.  Fires must be completely extinguished before discarding coals or ashes in containers clearly marked for that purpose.  Violators of fire rules will pay a minimum fine of $50 for each infraction.

GARBAGE REMOVAL:

Please make sure all garbage is placed in the garbage cans nearest to your campsite.

DESTRUCTION:

Please do not drive stakes or poles into any asphalt surfaces.  Do not deface, cut, drive nails into or attach lines or any other objects or trees, bushes, light poles, sign posts or buildings.

Failure to observe the rules of this facility will result in instant cancellation of your camping privileges.  You will be evicted without refund and parties involved will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  No refunds or exchanges on tickets, campsites or motor home spaces.  DPC reserves the right to refuse entrance at the gate.
